Census 2021 - Be counted as a paramedic

Be counted as a paramedic

Tuesday 10 August 2021 is Census Night in Australia. Make sure your occupation is listed as “paramedic” to help ensure the profession is appropriately recorded and recognised at a national level.

This helps capture accurate data for our profession, enabling governments, businesses, the College and other organisations to make informed decisions and planning for paramedicine and its place in the wider healthcare setting.

When completing the census, be sure to use the word “paramedic” in your occupation. When asked about your main tasks at work, use words that describe what you do, such as “healthcare”.

Most people will have by now received a paper Census form. You can complete the paper form or complete the Census online.

For full details on completing the Census, visit the Census website.
